SOO GOOD!!! Everything starting from the great service from our waiter Tim who was not only knowledgable, but also so nice and attentive. My arugula salad was sure fresh and the dressing was just the right amount. The wings were so surprisingly awesome, we originally asked Tim for blue cheese, assuming they needed it,boy were we wrong!! They were moist and flavorful! (But Tim even offered to run to Publix next door if we real wanted it) so nice of him, but tno way we would ruin the great taste of those wings!! Then the pizza came, we jut got a plain w pepperoni, it was perfect, thin crust, crispy great sauce to cheese ratio! Seriously I don't know how anyone could not love this place?! Service awesome, food awesome, atmosphere great! Win win win! I just moved back in town, and I already know we will be regulars here!

Top-notch pizzeria. Came with my family on a Monday evening, place had a decent amount of people in it, and we were seated right away. To start out we ordered the small Wood Oven Roasted Chicken Wings, which were very moist with a zesty, lemony flavor to them. They also are smothered in caramelized onions, which not only adds flavor, but just another yummy thing to eat. Plenty of wings for 4 people, so I can't even imagine how many come in a large order. Also we ordered a Sicilian Salad that had a nice balsamic dressing poured on it, and the salad was separated by item (chickpeas, onions, etc). We ordered a large, and while I didn't think the portion size was huge, it was enough for the 4 of us. It didn't really come with that much blue cheese crumbles, so that wasn't very good, and I do wished they tossed the salad before bringing it out. For our main meal we ordered two small pizzas; the Chicken Reggiano pizza and "The Boss" pizza. Chicken Reggiano is a kind of chicken parmesan pizza, and perfectly balanced between cheese, sauce, and chicken. "The Boss" is your basic cheese pizza, but very good. The pizza in very thin, and the crust is crunchy enough that I love to eat it. The slices themselves were pretty small, but filling and tasty. For the chicken wings, salad, and two small pizzas the total was $51, not including tip. It easily feed 4 people, and we all enjoyed it. I would say Sicilian Oven is a good place to come and split a few things and share. The atmosphere here is very modern, yet classic. The place isn't huge, but can hold a decent amount of people in it. I'm not running to come back here, but I thoroughly enjoyed Sicilian Oven enough that if I am in the mood for pizza, this place will be on the top of the list. Tried this place while visiting my daughter in Boca and I loved it. I ordered the Bianco pizza and my daughter ordered The Marie...delicious. We also ordered the Sicilian salad which is one of the best I've had. To end our meal we had the Tiramisu, yummy. Great place when you crave Italian.

Sat by the bar! Great wine and great atmosphere. We had a brick oven pizza, and some cabernet with it, it was packed on a Sunday so that means the food is amazing! Our " The Boss" pizza was amazing!!!! Definitely give it a try!

We had the tomato basil pie and the Caesar salad. The pie was beautifully cooked and the ingredients were fresh and delicious. The Caesar was good as well, they make their own croutons which is nice! Overall a good experience! We'll be back!

As always, Sicilian Oven never disappoints. We are here on opening day and the food is great. We started with the calamari tossed in a spicy pomodoro sauce. Amazing flavor and just the right amount of spicy. Had to get the thin crust wood oven pizza. Went with the original favorite. The Boss! Never let's me down. Look forward to coming back again and again...

I LITERALLY HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO GIVE THIS PLACE ONE STAR WHEN IT DOES NOT EVEN DESERVE THAT. This place has the nerve to charge $12 for a chicken parmigiana it consisted of four extremely thin dry and burnt pieces of chicken with cheap cheese and bland sauce and no side. I've had better at hole in the wall italian joints where the portions are huge, better quality and priced appropriately. The atmosphere was a cheap rip off of Anthony's coal fired pizza cheap everything and it shows in the food. Anyone who gives this place a good review has never had true italian food in their life.

Excellent salads with a great selection of coal fired pizza. Always thin & crispy. The chicken wings and fire roasted shrimp appetizers are both fabulous. You can't go wrong with the escarole & bean soup either. Always consistent.

The Best Pizza in Boca Raton is between Tucci's near Mizner Park and Sicilian Oven near The Mall. Try both. You'll love both of them. Ask for Extra Sauce on the side. ( And that's coming from a Brooklyn Born, L& B Spumoni Gardens Fan). Tucci's has better Garlic/Rosemary Wings while Sicilian Oven has a bigger Menu and a Nona Sicilian Pie. Visit with frequency. - The Best Advice coming from Dave Macias, Boca's Unofficial Mayor for Decades.

Just found this place while searching for another restaurant in the same plaza. This place was busy on a Friday night, so thought we'd try it. It was packed with families and it was very kid friendly. We shared a thin crust pizza and it was delicious. My very picky 14 yr old son ordered penne pasta which he loved and said it was "perfect ". We will definitely return!

Another great experience at Sicilian Oven. The waiter was very attentive and came twice to see if all was okay. We had a delicious pizza that was exactly as we ordered with garlic and tomatoes on top. It arrived piping hot and made to perfection. The manager also came over to see how we were doing. We'll be back!

Food was very good. Service was the Worst. They brought us the entree before The appetizer. Never asked if we wanted Coffee or dessert but just brought the Check. Waitress was a ditz.

Great Sicilian Salad. I need a good salad with my pizza. This was one of the best I've ever had. Love the wood fired pizza as well. Half pep, half veggie. Each bite was better then the last. Service was fast and efficient. Cant wait to go back.

We have been looking for an acceptable Italian restaurant in the area for some time without much luck until by chance we came across Sicilian Oven. With low expectations I ordered my favorite Italian dish, eggplant parmesan, and was impressed. Eggplant was cut thin, without eggy breading, and cooked with care. It was served stacked in multilayers, and had just the right amount of cheese. The sauce was tasty but too abundant, especially for the pasta which was swamped. Served with a salad for $8 at lunch, this was a bargain. Oddly, the lunch is not served with bread. Music is played too loudly inside and switching to an outside table didn't help because of an outdoor speaker.

Great brick oven pizza, the curb side pickup is nice so you don't even have to get out of your car too!

Another spectacular evening here with outstanding service with Chad. He has a great sense of humor and always makes our visit fun! The Popeye pizza is my favorite. Soooo much better than Anthony. Coal Fire. The manager checks all the tables and keeps everything running smoothly. Looking forward to my next visit.

This was my first time here and I have to say it was absolutely delicious. We came around 9 when they close at 10 on a Monday night so they were pretty empty. Our table ordered the grilled wings, which were excellent and we ordered a large pizza half captain which had meatballs, pepperoni and sausage and then the other half was a regular cheese pizza with arugula and shaved Parmesan on top, also really delicious. Overall the service was great and everyone was very attentive. I would definitely visit again and try something else on the menu in the near future.

Tried pasta, meatballs and shrimp. Very good. FYI that bar is beer and wine only. Staff is very nice and attentive. Will definitely be back.

Absolutely horrible service, in addition to mediocre, overpriced food! We went last Saturday night, and the waiter not only messed up our orders, but he brought out all of our entrees separately! How unclassy is that, even by Florida standards?! You're much better off driving 1.5 miles away to Anthony's on Powerline between Palmetto and Glades. Their service is great and good is good!

New spot. Great service and great food. Sauce for calamari was tasty and fresh. Ordered "the boss" small pizza and loved it. Wings also were great, but a little skimpy; they would be perfect if they were a tad more plump. All in all, great experience and I'll be back.

New place, close by home thought we try it. Pizza cooked in 700 degree oven we tried the pepperoni, sausage with meatball slices. It was Ok.Our server was pleasant and helpful. Like the floor to ceiling windows, make the place feel bigger. We will go back.

We tried the resturant for the first time tonight. We had the Hit Man pizza. There is no doubt that we will order it again. I am hoping that the other dishes will be as good. The service was attentive and fast. I will definitely return soon

This place came highly recommended but unfortunately, I don't agree that their Panini's and Pizza are worth raving about. My waiter was very nice and professional. He took the time to explain the differences in some of the dishes. The forgetabout it Panini was a disappointment. If they didn't put on tomato the bread would have been flattened which it should have been. Plus it was dripping balsamic vinegar. The boss pizza wasn't anything to get excited about either. After reading other people's blogs...I wonder if I was in the same restaurant. There are so many other pizza restaurants around which have way better food. The acoustics inside during lunch was way too loud. Sorry, but this place was a one time experience. I don't need to say more...very disappointed.

I don't know how this place is getting good reviews, if you really know pizza you know that they make a tasteless ( almost no sauce ) pizza. We order the meatballs and boy did they stink ! the owners have decided to be cheap and make the meatballs mostly bread, we did complaint to our waitress and showed her the dry mostly bread meatballs she said " oh sorry " I will tell the manager, we did see her telling the manager ... but he didn't even have the courtesy to come over our table and say something...bye bye never again for us

Went in last night with my family, they were pretty busy and did the best they could to accommodate us. We ended up sitting at the high top tables by the bar. Not ideal seating for a large party but we didn't mind. Our waitress was Cat and she was great! Very patient with my parents and the kids. We ended up having a couple pizzas, the house salad, mussels, a meatball panini, everything was really excellent and we were very impressed. We will definitely be back, the kids were already planning what they were going to order next time so that's a good sign.

Went there for first time and while I thought food was really good I asked if they could switch the MLB game to Marlins/Braves game. They had the St. Louis/Milwaukee game on. They actually said NO bc someone else was watching the STL/MIL game. This is F**king Florida isn't it??!! They pull that shit one more time I'll never go there again!! I'm a year round Florida resident and I was born in Sicily!!!

Sicilian Oven never disappoints. I've been for lunch a few times and you can't beat the quality and the price. We ordered The Boss lunch pizza, which comes with a fresh salad with a deliciously light red wine vinaigrette. Bonus: There's always enough pizza left over for another meal, too. Ingredients are top notch, service is good. The coal fire is enough to give you great taste but not overly burnt like some other places. The crust is soft and chewy on the inside. The outdoor seating is a nice plus, but I'll be honest, it's not much to look at (Publix Greenwise parking lot). Definitely recommend because the food is stellar!

We tried this for the second time, but we just took out. Last time we ate in and the plain Pizza was very good. I gave the food, service and entire experience 4 stars. This time we had The "POPEYE"(special blend of 4 Italian cheeses, sauteed spinach & mushrooms). It was honestly only fair and cost $22.00 which is expensive for a Pizza. We also ordered a side of sauce because this pie has no sauce on it. It was very acidic this time, but it wasn't last time when we ate in the restaurant. We will try another pie next time in hopes that it is better than our second experience.

Manager is a real classy guy. Service was good, a little taxed when it's a full place though but that's expected. Meals are priced well and extremely tasty. The sicilian lasagna is a hit, so is the eggplant. On another visit , my group had the Nutella pizza dessert...pretty lacking but the other graham cracker chocolate Gelato block was good. Everyone in boca should patronize this place and see what everyone's saying.

I was a big fan of this restaurant, but the last time I was disappointed. I went a few days ago with my husband and cousin. My cousin started with the pasta fagoili. It was a fairly large bowl of soup. He liked it. Next we shared the large Sicilian salad. It was just okay. I don't know if the dressing was different. It seemed like something was missing, but I don't know what. For our entrées my cousin had the two large meatballs. He liked them. I took a bite. The meatball was okay, but I would have liked it more if it had more meat and less filler. I ordered eggplant parmigiana. It was very good. Clyde got spaghetti bolognese. That's usually our favorite dish. The spaghetti was served with very little sauce and the sauce it did have didn't have much meat. Clyde told our server the dish didn't look or taste like it had bolognese sauce. She brought an extra cup of sauce, but it was thin and didn't have much meat. Just to be sure I wasn't wrong about the sauce I looked up the picture in my previous review. This definitely was a different sauce. When the manager came by to ask how we were doing I showed him the picture. He said he'd tell the chef. I had the feeling he wasn't impressed. I plan to go back. Since I liked this restaurant I want to give it another chance.

This is one of the newer restaurants added to the Greenwise Publix Plaza after the fantastic renovations were done in the last 5 years. It may not seem much from the outside, but it was packed with diners around 5pm on Wednesday. That was an indication that it was the restaurant to try compared to the empty restaurant next door. The interiors are small, but well laid out enough to accommodate a busy night of dining. We sat at the bar because it was just the two of us. Our server, Sam, was very nice and well informed in the details and preparation of the food items we had questions about. He recommended the salad for 2, and said that the Eggplant Lasagna and the Sausage with Peppers plate were the common favorites at the Sicilian Oven. We ordered the salad for 2 as suggested. It was so fresh and delicious! Tomato slices, marinated roasted red bell peppers, red onion, garbanzo beans, black and green kalamatas, roasted walnuts, slices of parm and gorgonzola cheeses, and the salad greens were tossed with a smooth balsamic vinaigrette. We finished the bowl clean. For our meals, we ordered the diners' favorite, Eggplant Lasagna, and spaghetti with meatballs. The lasagna is meatless and no pasta. It was cooked to perfection as the eggplant slices were very thin and crispy. The ricotta and mushrooms were greatly complimented by the red sauce. I would order this again in a heartbeat. The spaghetti arrived with 2 enormous meatballs almost the size of tennis balls. It was okay as it was very bready which seemed to make the pasta entree itself be a carb overload. We couldn't finish one meatball and the red sauce was slightly too acidic compared to the eggplant version as it did not have anything else other than pasta to mellow out the acids. We won't order that again. However, patrons next to us at the bar had ordered chicken wings and pizza that all looked absolutely delicious that the combination is what we aim to order the next time we dine at the Sicilian Oven. We are glad that the area of Boca Town Center finally has another great and moderately priced restaurant that seems satisfy the masses without having to get a bit dressed up and eat salty italian food at Maggiano's across the way. Welcome to Boca, Sicilian Oven!

This place is a great pizza restaurant that, so far, does not get too crowded. I had "The Captain" pizza - pepperoni, meatballs, sausage and it was excellent. I also tried the meatballs and they were huge and tasty. There are lots of pizza places to visit and this is one of the better ones!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
